2- Monthly Injection of Naltrexone to Reduce Physical Cravings

The goal of the monthly injection of Naltrexone is to reduce the physical cravings so that you can concentrate on your work, play, mastering your recovery and life skills---allowing you to reach your new life goals faster.   This medication works by decreasing the craving for alcohol and blocking the effects of opiate based drugs like heroin, oxycotin and other pain relief prescriptions.

You will receive your first monthly injection at the end of detox.  Injections typically continue for a total of 6 injections.

If you do not need detox, you can still benefit from the monthly naltrexone injections and behavioral therapy.

Naltrexone has been used and studied extensively in Europe since the 1990's. Up until now, the versions of Naltrexone have been expensive and seldom used in the United States.
